Yoga + Vacation

Yoga is now a big travel trend, with travelers wanting everything from full-on yoga retreats to a resort offering morning yoga sessions. And many hotels and resorts are now offering yoga classes as part of their all-inclusive programs. Here’s some dharma on incorporating yoga into your client’s vacations.

The best time to do yoga and connect with the mind, body and soul is when you are away from work and distractions, so it’s only natural that you may have clients who want to integrate it into their vacation plans. Traditionally, ancient yoga was practiced outside so yogis were able to ground and connect with nature. Many of the all-inclusive resorts offer their yoga classes outside and on the beach, perfect for a calm and grounding yoga practice, like Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Resort Spa in Cabo San Lucas, who offers indoor and beach yoga for their guests. Sometimes a resort will even partner with nearby yoga studios and brings the experts in for morning yoga classes on the beach.

An increasing amount of resorts are offering wellness programs as part of their all-inclusive offerings in some of the most beautiful beach settings. For example, Jewel Paradise Cove offers complimentary yoga retreats right on property. Hard Rock Punta Cana offers paddle board yoga and other wellness opportunities in the pool. At their resorts in Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos, Velas Resorts offers wellness suites, designed for travelers with a health-conscious lifestyle.

Whatever your clients are looking for, yoga is popping up everywhere and is a great way for travelers to become more grounded and take full advantage of their R&R time on vacation. Namaste and go get those yogis!
