VAX Wins 3 Travvy Awards!

This year’s Travvy Awards brought the industry’s top execs together to celebrate….you! The Academy Awards-style event took place at Gotham Hall in midtown Manhattan, a stone’s throw away from Times Square. Donned in tuxedos and gowns, travAlliancemedia’s team rolled out the red carpet for leaders from across the industry. 

The gratitude for (and support of) today’s leisure travel advisors was at the center of the evening, where executives from the cruise, guided tours, packaged tour operators, hoteliers and popular destinations all accepted gold and silver awards based on the votes of agents. At VAX and Trisept Solutions, VAX was thrilled to accept multiple awards for the fifth year in a row, thanks to all of you, our valued readers and agents. This year we’re proud to bring home three awards: a gold for Best Travel Agent Reservations System, a silver for Best Travel Planning Technology and a silver for Best Travel Technology Provider.

It was clear to me that agents still maintain the stronghold in the travel industry. After all, who but the travel professional can gain the insight that comes from knowing a customer’s fondest dream? Who but the travel professional can plan a truly complex vacation for tomorrow’s more sophisticated traveler? This was certainly felt at the Travvy Awards – a memorable evening where suppliers and executives from across the industry gathered to celebrate the current and lasting impact that agents have on the lives of today’s vacationers, adventurers and all of our mutual customers.
