While these places are known for providing families an atmosphere that’s perfect for making memories, they aren’t the right fit for every family. There are many families that want to get out of their comfort zones, explore new cultures and travel abroad. We’ve got you covered if your clients are seeking alternatives to the conventional family vacation.

  • Hungary – Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, is situated on the Danube River and is known for being one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. Filled with picturesque architecture, world-class museums and lush parks, the city has an abundance of activities for families to enjoy on their vacation. If your clients are heading to Budapest, recommend visiting the Budapest Zoo, which is home to over 1,000 animal species; hiking Gellért Hill for a breathtaking view of the Danube; or exploring the Labyrinth of Caves in the Castle District, where kids can take part in an underground treasure hunt on Sundays. To help your clients experience the rich culture of Budapest, consider booking features like a traditional Hungarian lunch or dinner with locals or a 3-D movie experience of the history of Hungary. For hotel options, your clients can stay at one of the many highly reviewed hotels, such as the Hotel Belvedere Budapest, which is located near Millennium Park, has recreational activities such as a pool and sauna and has a hotel restaurant which is perfect if your clients need to grab a quick bite to eat before they head out for their fun-filled day!
  • Costa Rica – If your clients want to go on a budget-friendly family vacation that includes plenty of adventure and beach time in a non-conventional location, then Costa Rica could be the perfect place for them. Many travelers choose to stay in San José, the capital city of Costa Rica, which is home to cultural attractions, historical landmarks and museums. In Guanacaste, you can book your clients a room at the Riu Guanacaste, which boasts children programs, a children’s play area, a game room and various restaurants. Costa Rica has a lot of features options to help your clients make the most of their vacation, like a forest canopy exploration tour or a trip to the Arenal Volcano where they can take in a natural wonder and enjoy exploring the trails that include natural springs, waterfalls and bridges. Regardless of where your clients choose to stay in Costa Rica, each city will offer them a unique and memorable family vacation. And, if they’re interested in eco-tourism, they’ve got resort options for that, too.
