On June 27, 2021, Spain updated its entry requirements for travelers from the U.S., no longer requiring proof of a vaccination for COVID-19, negative results from a COVID-19 test or certificate or documentation showing recovery from COVID-19 to gain entry.
Travelers from the U.S., however, do need to complete a Health Travel Form (FCS) from which they’ll get a QR code via email upon completion that will keep all of their entry requirement information in one place. The QR code will be scanned at the airport to access the terminal and when arriving in destination, so travelers should have the QR ready on their smartphone or printed.
Travelers should be aware that as of June 26, 2021, masks are still required to be worn indoors and on public transit.
On June 7, 2021, Spain announced it was once again welcoming vaccinated travelers from the U.S. and the rest of the world but then updated its entry requirements to remove the vaccination requirement.
The Spain Travel Health website has the most up-to-date information on the country’s entry requirements along with helpful videos and FAQs, so travelers and travel advisors planning a trip to Spain should check the site regularly before travel.
