Magic in Every Moment: New Experiences at Walt Disney World® Resort

“You are the magic.”

That’s what the new Disney Enchantment nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom tells attendees of The World’s Most Magical Celebration. Yet Walt Disney World® itself is no stranger to dazzling delights. In fact, its 50th anniversary celebration, continuing through March 2023, might just be its greatest show of all time.

A “Golden” Opportunity

Celebrations of this scale don’t come around often. In honor of 50 years of captivating guests, Magic Kingdom®, EPCOT®, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® each have EARidescent surprises in store. Whether your clients are more the “find all 50 golden character statues” type or the “dine around the World” type, there’ll be plenty for them to look forward to.

Pro-tip: Magic Kingdom isn’t the only Theme Park to get a new nighttime spectacular. Tell your customers not to miss Harmonious at EPCOT®. Floating screens, dancing lights, film clips, and, of course, familiar songs come together to tell a moving story of music’s power to unite us.

All-New Adventures

We’re not saying we go to Walt Disney World® for the rides … but we can’t deny we love when a new one opens! And Disney is delivering.

The France pavilion in EPCOT® is now home to a five-star culinary adventure starring Chef Remy himself. Shrink down to his size—and dodge Chef Skinner—on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. For a more intergalactic chase, head across the way to World Discovery and the newly unveiled Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Join Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, and Gamora on a reverse-launch, enclosed coaster ride across space and time, set to an original mixed tape.

In another galaxy, far, far away, the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser is officially accepting passengers on its 2-night journey through one of cinema’s most fantastic sagas. Taking the interactive thrills of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios into hyperdrive, the new immersive experience lets guests pick a side—First Order or Resistance—and find their place in Jedi history.

Making history of its own, Drawn to Life, the first collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and the Walt Disney animation and Imagineering teams, embraces the legacy of Disney filmmaking. A 90-minute acrobatic production for all ages, families can catch the show on Disney Springs’ West Side after a day of shopping and snacking.

Pro-tip: If your clients are traveling with small children, they’ll want to know about the rider swap program. One adult can stay behind with the child(ren) while the rest of the party goes on a ride, taking their turn after everyone else returns. Best of all, it can be used at Lightning Lane entrances, too!

Extra-Special Events

Disney has never been one to rest on its laurels, so it only follows that an anniversary celebration alone wouldn’t be enough. Now through August 27, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open until 11 PM on Saturdays for H20 Glow After Hours, featuring a DJ dance party and tropical libations for adults.

Not far off, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be making its spooktacular return for select nights August 12 through October 31. Expect more Jack Skellington and fewer frights—plus trick-or-treating a go-go—during this kiddie- and allergy-friendly event.

You Ain’t Never Had a Friend Like Genie+

Have a wish, or two or three, with the new Disney Genie+ service, available for just $15 (plus tax) a day. Disney Genie+ service is only available for purchase on the day of the Park visit, one day at a time for each day of the visit via the My Disney Experience app, subject to availability. Granting phenomenal cosmic power through the My Disney Experience app, guests can use it not only to check ride wait times, but book Lightning Lane entrances. Exclusive Disney PhotoPass lenses and fun fact-filled Audio Tales add more tricks to the repertoire.

Pro-tip: Budget a concern? The app’s standard Genie features are free. A customized tip board and an interactive map can help your clients plan day by day.

See More of the World

The best way for your customers to make the most of their time, however, is to choose an on-site hotel. Incredible dining, complimentary resort-wide transportation, and, of course, extended park access alone are worth the stay.

No matter what brings your customers to Walt Disney World® Resort, Funjet Vacations is here to make their memories magical from the get-go. Learn more, or start your next booking, here.
