July 2019 Editor’s Note

Well, July has been so busy; I almost forgot to write my editor's note! Rest easy, everyone, because here it is.

So what has been happening this month? First, our theme is something I’m very into: eco-friendly and sustainable travel. Here’s what we’ve already published for you on that topic:

• 6 All-Inclusive Sustainable Resorts in Mexico – Our friends at Funjet Vacations put together this awesome list. Definitely share this article with your clients AND on your agency’s Facebook page. It will definitely inspire people.
• Sustainable Travel is About More than the Environment – Erica Doyne of AMResorts shared her insights on the bigger impact sustainably minded travel has. It’s a solid read.
• Plastic Sucks: The Environmental Efforts of Grenada – I met some representatives from the Grenada tourism board last month at the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean Week and learned about all the things Grenada is doing to take care of their islands. Here’s a deep dive for you.

Our destination focus this month is the Mediterranean, which gives me serious wanderlust. Did you know about these updates on the tourist rules in Rome? That’s definitely worth sharing with any clients heading there. Greece is a super hot destination right now, so if you’re new to the destination and need some ideas, we’ve compiled the top Greek hotels amongst VAX agents.
