The resort’s overall feel/vibe is sophisticated luxury. It caters more to adults than families and children, from our experience. When staying on the adults-only side, the Elegance Club is the way to go for nice added extra touches, amenities and perks. The swim up suites were a huge hit and make for a very convenient and relaxing stay as they are centrally located and so easy to access. The pool space on the family friendly side is limited when occupancy levels are high so having a swim up was a nice reprieve from overpopulated areas around and in the water.
Upon entering the lobby, I felt welcomed and quickly refreshed as staff offered us cold towels and a chilled beverage. It was clear by the incredibly spotless appearance of the modern and well-sanitized open space that we would undoubtedly enjoy our stay at this sparkling gem. Every staff member was friendly, eager to please and helpful.
We stayed in a two-bedroom oceanfront suite that included a fairly private jacuzzi on a very lengthy balcony and a jaw dropping spectacular view of the ocean and beach. The suite was perfect for larger families as the living room housed a murphy bed and a pullout sofa sleeper couch. One of the bedrooms had a king bed and the other two had doubles — both bedrooms had sliding wooden doors for privacy. There were also two bathrooms, which was very handy.
The family friendly side of the resort is home to a phenomenal spa! The treatments & services were top notch and the massage I received was truly one of the best I’ve ever had.
There are no water slides, jungle gyms or kid’s splash pad areas, but the kid’s club staff was very attentive and offered fun, engaging activities throughout the day. The entertainment staff always put smiles on faces daily at the pool with silly, fun games, dances and music. The only drawback we encountered was there weren’t enough pool chairs and certainly not enough shade/umbrellas to contend with the strong sun. After relaying this feedback, the staff initiated plans to plant more palm trees and to have more umbrellas by this summer.
The beach did have sargassum while we were there in the beginning of April. However, it was cleared often. The sand is gorgeous and the beach is long and wide making it perfect for nice long walks. There was beach beverage service, with umbrellas and chairs which we would have used more if it wasn’t so windy.
Food at all the restaurants was truly very good, no complaints at all. Portion sizes were good, variety was a non-issue, service and timeliness were also on point. The main buffet for breakfast and lunch by the beach was always quite busy, but never ran out of a nice variety of offerings.
I was impressed with Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres! It gets two thumbs up, most especially spectacular for a destination wedding as the view from the pool terrace is an absolutely stunning location to host the most glorious, celebration with all your family and friends. Value for money is truly second to none. Majestic certainly knows how to deliver elegance in Costa Mujeres!
The Vibe As soon as I walked into the property, I could tell that I was going to be able to start relaxing immediately. The natural color tones and materials, with immediate ocean views reminded me that I was in paradise. How I Felt I felt the calmness of the property sweep over me as I walked to my
The Vibe As the luxury brand of Palladium Hotel Group, TRS Coral Hotel in Costa Mujeres had a chill adult vibe. I spent most of my time at the pool, which had quiet and calming music always setting the atmosphere in the background. Guests were often lounging and sun bathing in lawn chairs or sipping
The Vibe “Margarita or piña colada?” was the first question I had to answer when I arrived at Riu Cancun. The modern lobby had the highest ceilings I’ve ever seen and everyone that passed by was smiling; There were spring breakers (like my travel companions and me), couples and families; the dynamic
The Vibe In the heart of Midtown Manhattan, the Hyatt Centric just opened in late 2021 and feels like a fresh boutique hotel (162 rooms) in a prime location. The décor features rich hues of jade and rose alongside nods to the city’s history like the photos of early 20th century opera patrons adornin
