Mexico has grown to become a destination for both leisure vacations and business travel. From MICE groups and destination weddings to family vacations and solo getaways, all types of travelers find themselves planning trips to this country. Some come in search of delicious cuisine, and others are looking to take in the rich history, culture and adventurous opportunities available.
There are several unique locations within Mexico, from Pacific coast favorites like Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas to the white sandy shores of Cancun and its surrounding islands. There are also many charming inland towns worth exploring, including Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende and Monterrey.
Hyatt has a number of hotels and resorts across several of its brands located throughout this beautiful destination, and there are properties catering to a variety of travel types. They include centrally located hotels like Hyatt Regency Merida and beachfront getaways such as Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen and Andaz Mayakoba.
The company continues to expand its brand footprint in Mexico. In fact, Hyatt’s Mexico brand portfolio is expected to increase by 30% over the next few years.
Hyatt’s path to expansion is already in full swing. The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand recently made its debut in Mexico with two new properties: Rancho Pescadero, a 30-acre oceanfront hotel near Todos Santos, and NUMU Boutique Hotel, located in the “Pueblo Magico” of San Miguel de Allende.
Other recently opened hotels in Mexico include Andaz Mexico City Condesa, located just steps away from art galleries, cafés and chic boutiques; Hyatt Place Monterrey Valle, set in an ideal place for exploring Monterrey’s Valle Oriente and San Pedro; and Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort & Spa, situated on a blissful stretch of beach.
In addition to these recently opened properties are many others gearing up to welcome guests. Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes is opening this spring, welcoming both business and leisure travelers.
Come 2024, Park Hyatt Los Cabos will open, marking the first Park Hyatt hotel in Mexico. Other properties debuting in 2024 include Grand Hyatt Cancún Beach Resort, The Chatwal San Miguel and Park Hyatt Mexico City.
“We are proud to thoughtfully grow Hyatt’s brand footprint in Mexico through our strong relationships with ownership groups and developers, and we look forward to continuing this momentum with an impressive roster of upcoming openings in key destinations across the beautiful country of Mexico,” said Camilo Bolaños, senior vice president of development, Latin America & the Caribbean, Hyatt.
Hyatt covers the gamut in Mexico with luxury and lifestyle brands, and the resort company has one of the largest portfolios of luxury all-inclusive resorts in the world: the Inclusive Collection, Part of World of Hyatt.
Within this collection, a new elevated level of luxury, Secrets Impression Resorts & Spas, has recently made its appearance. This new concept made its debut with the opening of its flagship property, Secrets Impression Moxché (located right next to Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen), and the line’s second property, Secrets Impression Isla Mujeres, is expected to open later this year.
“Continuing to invest in our ultra-luxury offering is a critical component of our growth plan moving forward, and Mexico remains a priority market as we raise the bar for leisure travel and exceed the expectations of guests, members and customers,” said Gonzalo del Peón, group president, global commercial, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt.
Other luxury properties in Hyatt’s collection opening soon include Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club and Dreams Estrella Del Mar Mazatlan. It is anticipated that by the end of 2023, the Inclusive Collection will have more than 45 resorts throughout Mexico.
Travelers headed to Riviera Maya this year can take advantage of two different promotions. At Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen, guests will receive a $150 resort credit per room, per stay for new bookings with a minimum of three nights. Additionally, those booking a vacation at Andaz Mayakoba Resort Rivera Maya can enjoy a fifth night free with four paid nights as well as complimentary breakfast for two people each morning.
These two offers are available when booked now through June 30, 2023, for travel through December 16, 2023. For more details, click here.
