Hotels in Los Cabos are Now Offering On-Site COVID-19 Testing

Los Cabos updated their implementation of strict health and safety protocols on Jan. 26, following the CDC’s latest entry requirements. Now all hotels across the destination will have rapid antigen tests on-site and available for U.S. and Canadian guests. The destination also has additional testing facilities available to travelers as part of their SAFE initiative.

Los Cabos’ COVID-19 Testing Program is similar to Puerto Vallarta and the Dominican Republic’s latest safety measures. Both the PCR and antigen tests are available at 14 testing facilities throughout Los Cabos with various costs, depending on the facility and type of test. Most results will be available anywhere from 24 to 72 hours later. Los Cabos Tourism Board is currently working with private sector partners to ensure both tests are affordable. The antigen test starts as low as $60 and some hotels are offering additional discounts or complimentary tests, like AMResorts, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, La Coleccion Resorts, Marival Resorts, Sandos Hotels & Resorts and more. Airports across the U.S. and Cancun are also offering on-site COVID tests.

“We are proud of the strong partnership we have created with our tourism partners across the destination which has been critical to Los Cabos’ response to COVID-19 and creating the new testing program,” said in a statement from Rodrigo Esponda, the managing director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board.
