Have You Been to Any of the Most-Visited Cities in the World?

An article released by World Economic Forum reported the world’s top five destination cities based on the 10th annual Mastercard Global Destination Cities Index. By tracking visitors and their spending habits, Mastercard determined that global travel and tourism numbers have steadily increased each year by 6.5% since 2009. The report also found that tourism expenditure (meaning the amount of money people spend while traveling) has enjoyed an average increase of 7.4% each year.

The top five destination cities according to the 10th annual Mastercard Global Destination Cities Index are:

  1. Bangkok
  2. Paris
  3. London
  4. Dubai
  5. Singapore
