Fall Travel: What’s In It for You and Your Clients?

Let’s admit it: fall is the best season, and for good reasons. Usually by the time fall rolls around, most of us are sick of the dog days of summer and are looking forward to bonfires, football games, and of course, everything pumpkin. But those aren’t the only good things about fall. Traveling in the fall allows your clients to make the most of the season, and it also has some great benefits for you.  Here are 3 reasons to start looking ahead on your calendar:

  1. Travelers get amazing experiences in the fall
Fall is considered off-peak travel for many destinations so if you have clients who are into smaller crowds and milder weather, this is their time. Fall is also, obviously, the perfect time of year to see some beautiful foliage. Whether your clients are staying stateside or going across the pond to Europe and even Japan, they can expect to see vibrant shades of red and gold, which make the perfect backdrop for fall hikes and picnics. Wine tours are also at their peak in fall, giving travelers lots of opportunities to relax at a vineyard or get their steps in with some grape stomping. There are also super fun festivals and celebrations in the fall: Oktoberfest (the authentic one in Germany or the many across the U.S.), Diwali, London Fashion Week, Halloween, Day of the Dead, harvest festivals and more, giving travelers a great excuse to get out of town.
  1. Offer your clients great deals (and look like a hero)
Hotels and resorts, especially in Mexico and the Caribbean, want to be busy all year. So, when travelers generally hunker down at home in the fall, they put out some of their best offers to fill those rooms (check them out on our Fall Travel Campaign page!). Affordable vacation packages are easy for you to sell and they make it easy to entice your clients to extend a three-day package into a five-day if the price is right, which it will be for those fall travel dates.
  1. Bulk up your Q3 and Q4 earnings
With all the sweet deals suppliers are putting out there for the fall travel season, you’ll have great prices to offer them, making it easy to build a nice little base of business for the second half of the year. Because soon enough, it’ll be January and peak season will be roaring, so why not give yourself a little time to coast?

The thing to remember about fall travel, though, is that it can come with some inclement weather in certain destinations. But, don’t worry, if you advise your clients to invest in travel insurance, they’ll be covered if something comes up and their travel plans need to change.
