Travel insights from Beth Kitzman, BDM for VAX VacationAccess

DIY Isn’t Just for Crafting

I would be the first to say that I am a sucker for DIY craft projects! My next one to ponder is to explore what I can do with all the wine bottles and corks that I have collected during the pandemic. Honestly, am I the only one though? Pinterest has noticed my interest and is clearly letting me know there are many options as I get a few email reminders every day.

All crafting aside, I’m here to remind you that DIY is for your travel business, too. When you book your clients’ vacations on VAX VacationAccess, you have our commitment to provide as many tools or resources as possible to make doing your job as easy as it can be. That is why we continually work to create training materials and envision even better tools for you.

Perhaps I’m dating myself when I talk about the Sound of Music and one of my favorite songs from it, “My Favorite Things.” Rain-drops on ro-ses and whis-kers on kittens, cal-ling sup-pliers for boo-king assistance. Doesn’t quite flow in the scheme of the calming purpose of the song, I guess. Well then let me slip in a suggestion to avoid that call to the supplier.

VAX is more do-it-yourself than you might think! You can make changes to reservations, resend itineraries, refine searches to find specific availability, add features and transfers to existing reservations and so much more, all on your own, right on VAX. We know that not everything can be handled by you this way, but before you call your supplier’s customer care center, give it a try. You can’t break anything by looking and you may save yourself some hold time and build up your self-confidence in your VAX skills at the same time. Visit Education Tab > VAX Training & Education > VAX DIY to learn how to do six key things on VAX.
