Cancun International Airport Rolls Out New Sanitary Protocols

The Cancun International Airport reopened to international flights in early June, and now has recently shared a video outlining the new sanitary protocols the airport will be implementing going forward.

Some of the protocols include:

• Enforcing social distancing throughout the airport, including on the inter-terminal shuttles, in elevators and in commercial areas
• Making anti-bacterial gel dispensers available to travelers and employees throughout the airport
• Implementing temperature screening on employees and passengers
• Providing personal protective equipment to airport employees, including immigration officers
• Increasing cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms and security screening trays

Your next experience at the Cancun airport may be a little different, but these are important steps to take while we slowly but surely start to travel again.
