It’s almost time for me to begin packing for my next business trip. Does this cause anyone else anxiety? I actually have people from all walks of my life that think I must be the most efficient packer ever with all the trips I’ve packed for in the past several years. The actual truth is that couldn’t be further from the truth. As an overthinker, which makes me over plan, it is a regular challenge for me. I have, however, come up with some strategies to ensure that it is as stress-free as possible. Read on to learn three essential items that make my life easier in the process.
I found an under-seat rolling computer bag that I put on my Christmas list in 2019. I was so excited for it to be my lifesaver for 2020, and it did serve me well for three business trips and a few to my mother’s cottage. What I love about it is that it carries my business essentials with my laptop and has room for an outfit just in case my bag gets lost. That way I have better peace-of-mind for being able to do what I’m traveling for.
I remember seeing these advertised and thought, how on earth can that save space? Well, after talking to a few colleagues in the industry I was convinced to try them! They are the best! Even better news was that I then received some as a birthday present and I am now set for life! Being able to categorize my belongings really helps me pack up more quickly and efficiently and really does save me space.
This was a gift as well and I have been so happy to travel after receiving it. It’s easier on my hair and it folds up so compactly. I’ve always hated counting on the hair dryers in the hotel rooms. Every now and then you get so lucky to get a really nice one, but normally not the case.
