Travel insights from Beth Kitzman, business development manager for VAX VacationAccess

BDM Beth Celebrates Dugan’s 20th!

I was fortunate to be able to help Dugan’s celebrate their 20th birthday in Anaheim, CA in February. The most agents in my history with Dugan’s gathered ready to engage for this conference! This was my 4th Anaheim conference with them, and once again, though I’m right across the street from Disneyland, I’ve yet to have the pleasure to step foot on the property. Next year I think I have to make it a priority!

I have to say the energy at this conference was definitely remarkable in many ways. Their theme this year was a family reunion.  Dugan’s is all about the family concept, coming together to do great things while keeping our families, no matter what they look like, at the forefront. The supplier reception really set the theme for the event, which was baseball, because the agents then had the tools to hit it out of the ballpark and with the passion of these agents I am convinced that they will do just that!

Though I had many great conversations with agents to gather feedback and share my insights, there was one conversation that really stood out to me. Sarah Beth shared how, as a new agent, VAX VacationAccess has been so valuable in growing her business. She, of course, has found the sales email to be her favorite VAX tool. The first booking she made off of VAX, she asked where and how she could find the same functionality and of course was disappointed to learn it’s only available on VAX! Sarah Beth also mentioned that she loves the fare category displays for Southwest Vacations and United Vacations. It makes finding the right fare category so much more efficient and being aware of the categories that are being offered.

Can’t wait to attend their fall conference in Orlando!
