Amstar DMC Will Add 150 New Vehicles to its Fleet in the Mexican Caribbean

Amstar DMC is excited to announce a significant expansion of its transportation fleet in their Mexican Caribbean destination, with the addition of 150 brand-new vehicles. The major investment will position Amstar’s fleet as the largest of any DMC in the Mexican Caribbean. This strategic decision enhances the customers’ travel experience with newer vehicles, offering more comfort and better service.

The Amstar fleet services airport transfers and in-destination transportation needs for passengers arriving to the Cancun International Airport for leisure travel, destination weddings, business meetings, conferences, and conventions. Rodrigo Llaguno, Group President of Amstar DMC, said: “We made this commitment to elevating our passengers’ travel experience by not only improving the quality of our fleet but our operational efficiency. Enhancing the travel experience has always been a crucial consideration for our strategic vision of growth that will be followed in all our destinations.” Llaguno added, “With an eye on the future, this important investment paves the way for tackling the emerging need to expand our infrastructure due to the anticipated wave of increased demand in the destination expected in the near future.

Chris Justice, Amstar’s Vice President of Operations also mentioned, “Expanding the fleet goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to providing comfortable, professional, and safe transportation… in a nutshell: top-level destination experiences.” He also added that, “In addition, we will now maintain a 2-year replacement cycle which is significantly shorter than the industry average.” This vehicle acquisition will also have a positive impact on the local economy, creating 190 new jobs including driver and logistics positions.

In addition to the new fleet of vehicles, the company will implement a new ‘digital check-in' process at the airport and continues improving the in-vehicle experience with quality amenities and personalized service. All of Amstar’s vehicles are equipped with Free Wi-Fi and travelers with infants can also reserve car seats.
