Allianz Partners Introduces “Cancel Anytime” Coverage Upgrade on Popular Plans

As of January 31, 2023, Allianz Partners USA is now offering travelers more flexibility with the option to add its popular “Cancel Anytime” upgrade to two of the insurance provider’s most popular plans — OneTrip Prime and OneTrip Premier. Allianz’ Cancel Anytime add-on allows travelers to cancel their trip at any time for nearly any unforeseeable reason, even a simple change of plans.

In addition to common cancellation benefits associated with most standard travel insurance policies such as serious illnesses or injuries, natural disasters and 24-hour delayed arrival to a destination due to severe weather, the Cancel Anytime upgrade provides further coverage where standard trip cancellation benefits may not apply. Looking for more details? On average, Allianz’ Cancel Anytime upgrade provides reimbursement for up to 80% of lost non-refundable trip costs that a traveler’s already selected plan fails to cover up to a max insured amount of $16,000. Additionally, travelers who cancel their trip for a covered reason may still receive 100% of their lost non-refundable expenses up to their max coverage limit.

“Simply put, life happens, whether your pet sitter falls through at the last minute, stormy weather is predicted in your sunny destination or you change your mind about traveling, said Daniel Durazo, director of external communications at Allianz Partners USA. “Our Cancel Anytime upgrade provides an extra blanket of security for travelers who want to protect their financial investments as much as possible, from the moment they book their trip to the day of their departure.”

To file a claim, Allianz recommends travelers submit their proof of payment for trip costs, documentation of any refunds received and any additional paperwork that might be required.
