Airport

Those traveling to Dominica will land at the Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM), formerly known as Melville Hall Airport, on Dominica’s northeast coast.  

Climate

Dominica enjoys a warm and mild climate with highs averaging between the mid-70s to upper 90s year-round, allowing for perfect swimming conditions no matter when you visit. The island does have a rainy season from July to November where downpours and thunderstorms can be intense, but storms generally don’t last long.

Language

English is the official and most widely spoken language. However, you may hear hints of Creole, Island Carib and Kokoy throughout your visit.

Currency

Dominica’s official currency is the East Caribbean dollar.
