8 Reality TV Vacation Hot Spots in Mexico and the Caribbean

Reality TV stars: they’re just like us! But really, they are, especially on vacation. Sure there are some real over-the-top destinations and accommodations (like the La Vida Dolce, the luxury Punta Mita property visited by The Real Housewives of New York in season nine), but there are many luxe vacation spots attainable by regular people like you!

1. El Dorado Casitas Royale – Riviera Maya

This was the vacation spot in season six of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. You might remember this trip as the one where two of the housewives’ husbands actually started the drama - oh my!

2. Dreams Tulum – Tulum

This romantic resort was home to the very first season of Bachelor in Paradise, which aired in 2014. Sadly, neither of the two couples that resulted from the season are still together.

3. Moon Palace Jamaica Grande – Montego Bay

The Real Housewives of Atlanta headed to Moon Palace Jamaica Grande in season eight to film a commercial for Cynthia Bailey’s new eyewear line. Groundbreaking.

4. The Gansevoort – Turks & Caicos

In arguably one of the best vacations in the Real Housewives of New York franchise, the housewives stayed at this luxurious resort and LuAnn said her best line ever: “Be Cool. Don’t be all like, uncool.” One for the history books!

5. Andaz Mayakoba – Playa del Carmen

The Vanderpump Rules cast visited this luxury eco resort in season six (are there really at least six seasons of this show?!). Jax gets yelled at, as he should, for not being good enough for his girlfriend Brittany, which he isn’t.

6. Garza Blanca – Puerto Vallarta

Three of The Real Housewives of Orange County took a quick jaunt to Garza Blanca in season 13 and it was definitely one to write home about. They go to Andale’s (Vicki’s fave PVR bar), eat street tacos, drink lots of tequila and Tamra breaks her foot. They probably should’ve spent more time in Garza Blanca’s world-class spa, which looks amazing (the photo above is the view from it!).

7. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana – Punta Cana

The Real Housewives of New Jersey stayed in this rock n’ roll resort in season 3. Highlight of the trip: the giant sunhat Teresa wore on the beach. She’s never one to be subtle.

8. ME Cabo – Cabo San Lucas

Shahs of Sunset, a totally underrated reality show from Bravo, headed to Cabo in season two, which is a great choice as the resort is situated on the only swimmable beach in Los Cabos. Asa’s daring vacation style and the resort’s incredible views are the only things worth noting from this trip.
