1 out of 3 Americans Are Planning Their 2021 Travel, AMResorts Survey Finds

Nearly 31% of Americans are planning their 2021 travels right now, a recent survey conducted on behalf of AMResorts® found.

The survey asked 2,000 American travelers about their outlook on 2021 travel and 53% of respondents who usually vacation said they had not traveled since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s a lot of pent-up demand to get away. So when they finally take their first trip, where do they want to go and what do they want to do? And how much are they going to spend?

  • 30% of survey respondents are planning a beach vacation
  • 63% want to relax more than usual on their vacation and de-stress
  • 47% of travelers 18 to 34 and 44% of parents with kids under 18 plan to spend more than normal on their next vacation

“This past year has, without a doubt, changed every aspect of our lives – including the way we vacation and spend our downtime. We know travelers are eager to turn their pent-up wanderlust into new vacation memories with family and friends,” said Erica Doyne, senior vice president of marketing and communications for AMResorts®. “AMResorts® branded properties are ready to continue to welcome back guests as they seize the sunshine they’ve been craving. We provide safe, worry-free environments and flexible travel offers that allow them to truly relax at our luxury resort brands in popular beachside destinations.”

That safety includes the implementation of AMResorts®' CleanComplete Verification™ practices at all of their properties, a 360-degree quality, safety and hygiene system with eight main protocols that cover all aspects of the resorts.
